"My new violin is doing great! It's so easy to go back and forth between it and my Strad. Thanks so much once again"

Jose-Luis Garcia Asensio

Set Up Dimensions

It was with a heavy heart that, due to health reasons, I was forced to retire from actively making new instruments. I still work with Borman owners to keep their instruments in top condition.

All measurements are in millimeters

Neck

The neck dimensions that I used were generally slightly smaller than other shops. I altered these dimensions due to consistent requests from players.

Fingerboard

These are basic measurements and for the most part they work well for violin and cello. For the viola, certain dimensions must be calculated based on the body length of the particular instrument.

I was a violin maker for 44 years and I am proud of the reputation I have built. I am especially proud of the fact that many of today's most well known musicians have acquired multiple instruments of mine over the years; affirming the fact that not only do my instruments retain their sound quality but that they improve with time.
